Idle speed problem
Hi
since long time i am tracking an issue with my cx7 2nd generation 2.3l turbo - automatic transmission
current problem is when i drop of throttle it stay on the gear with no up shifting , the feeling as engine brake has engage , what it should be ( after few second the rpm drop on same time upshifting for saving gas )
example
i am driving in 5th gear with steady drive , i drop gas it will stay on same gear 5 and rpm drop slowly as feel like engine brake until rpm reaching 1500 sometime to 1200 then it will gear up to 6 with idle speed
before it was like this
let off throttle and after few seconds rpm drop to idle and car engine getting comfort , was nice when i drive at high way or down hill drive , now i feel its too much pressure on the engine

This complaint and issue will have a DTC in the ECU memory. I see you did not mention a engine check light so at this point you need to check the ECU for pending and permanet DTC's. As well while you are having those checked look at the monitors for state of readiness.
there is no DTC as pending or permanent , my car running fine except for this issue
its tuned too , the issue was there before the tunning , and cant be fix with tunning
there is something happened and cannot target it
i searched in workshop manual for CX7 under engine tune up section , which highlighted in the attachment pdf
couldnt find in the manual or maybe its something i couldnt understand
What you described there should be a DTC stored in the ECU?? You also did not mention the monitors state?
What ECU Tuning program are you using. I am a bit concern why you if you did use a performance ECU calibration program before the problems were first addressed. That is the basic install is you have no current problems with the engine. I would if you did adjust your EXCU via a program to use hopefully the backup you made of the original OEM program and upload it back into the ECU. Then work on the problem you are having.

appreciated your replay and your time
this is the full history
i went for tunning only to fix this issue , the problem was happened 2 years ago after fixing stuff like turbo and oil leak between the gearbox and engine gasket
my car on that time was totally oem so i asked most people said you need tunning , i am just a consumer i used to be no idea about cars mechanic or tunning ( a little bit improved because of my car )
so i installed CS HPFP & CS intake 3" & EBCS % BOV and tuned the car and the issue was present still which i believe now its not software issue
its tuned by Versatune
sure i dont have a DTC except the climate control and no check engine on , i am using obdlink MX+ & also vident smart800i scantool ,
i dont understand by monitor state mean
anyway i was looking for many topic in internet , most talking about rev hang and rpm hang and engine break and finely i reached to something related
that in normal way in cx7 automatic transmission for example if i am on gear 5 and drop off throttle , in 5 second or less the car will shift up to gear 6 and drop rpm to idle for saving gas and engine load but my car most of the time it doesn't , it stay in gear 5 and i can feel as engine brake involved , its not coasting as it should be and sometime yes it shift up and rpm goes to idle
i used the manual and tried to use my theory in manual way , when i drop throttle i shift up , it works well as it should be
during fixing my car 2 years ago , there is something happen cant find it

If it was Versa Tune then you can get a DATA logging of the event. If you do post it up?
However you should really be on the Versa Tune forum .
This issue should have been taken care of before you got the Versa Tune.
I am assuming it was a packaged tune and not a custom tune is that correct?
The monitors are your emission system monitors. You should see one or more not in reediness for emissions. If you scanning device does not have this then you should find someone that is not using a bluetooth none professional ECU scanning device.
I understand that more often then not DIY prefer the blue tooth scanners but I have yet to find one that did not work for real world diagnostic problem support.

i got vident , i cant say its as autel but almost, plus i went before purchasing to many who got scanners and nothing was to mentioned , not a code neither strange reading
i will share the reading logs of versatune
its a custom tune , and i am sure 100% is not a tune thing

If there is a previous issue, then the first thing would be to do is up-load you OEM ECU program file and resolve the problem then re-load you Performance file back into your ECU. issue and you are sure it is not ECU calibration.
Otherwise because you now have a ECU Calibration the method for problem solving is by way of DATA LOGGING some events and determine their cause.
This is standard procedure when you do ECU Calibration changes.
As you have a Versa Tune did you contact them for help?
Join their forum and talk to other DIYs for assistance?
You should considered to go to a professional service that does ECU Calibration s even using your current Versa Tune programing?
