Cx7 no acceleration
Please help!I have an 08 cx7 with 2.3 turbo. No acceleration running on 2 cylinders, tsc and check engine light on. 4 Codes for throttle position sensor, 2 abs codes one for unknown node and the other for failure to initialize steering, as well as a shorted sun sensor code. Replaced throttle body, pedal, throttle body pigtail, went through the wiring harness.... now have codes p0223 and p0638, plug in old throttle body and get codes p0123 and p0223. Still no acceleration at WOT I can only get 2500 rpm in park. Checked voltage at throttle body unplugged all within spec According to what 8 could find online plug it in and backprobe and my voltage on tps2 goes to 7.5v (old throttle body does opposite goes 12v on tps1) I rigged up a variable resistor into the tps 2 line and adjust it until the p0223 code goes away. All abs codes go away, engine codes are replaced with a tps a/b correlation error and runs really rough with extremely low idle. Is this an ecu problem or did I get a bad throttle body? Been chasing this for awhile now
I recommend that you seek out a shop that has someone actually experienced in Trouble shooting Diagnostic's. I would not tell them all these attempts to solve the issue. You changed to many unverified parts and concluded wrong on your attempts to correct the problem likely creating additional problems.
DTC may cancel the engine check light and may not show as active but unless the actually cause that trigged them was found they go into a permanent file that will regenerate the check engine light after a cycle or 2 those indicating the problem is still present.
First rule when DIY is NEVER change any pars unless you confirmed that part has failed.
Please remember if you don't get a response of a thread does not go hijacking another member threads thinking you will get help there is no one answers you thread! It rude and one of those unsaid things of what not to do on forums!

When it comes to a ODDII ECU controlled system (from *aprox .2002 to present) the most it would take to diagnosis the problem is an hour. Naturally if a specific part is targeted as a problem removing it for further testing goes from Scan tool diagnosis to physically verifying the part function.
Fine a better shop and screen them before you use them to service your MAZDA.
If you were charged from the other 3 shops, I would say what "DIDN'T" you learn from the first shop that charged you? And if they did not charge you what does that say about them?

ASE
*ODDII and CANbus system advanced in diagnostic trouble shooting with about 2012 to present showing advanced ECU diagnostic capabilities for trouble shooting and ECU,TCM, PCM controlled system
