Hi, anybody know how to change this ? Whats the official method ? My mechanic at the garage I use tried for 2 hours and found it impossible to remove one of the 3 screws unless he removes transfer gearbox. Access is very bad to the screws, we had all the correct tools but he could not get any pressure on that last screw head to turn it. Its a stupid design.

 

If anyone else has to change this turbo actuator sensor on the 2.2 diesel then I found out the official Mazda method is to remove the transfer box and drop the front subframe, this is what the Mazda's main dealer mechanic told me after looking at the job with the car up in the air. The only alternative is to brake off/smash off the old sensor in order to fit the new one, but I'm told the access is incredibly difficult. At the garage I use one mechanic tried and he could not do it, but just before they remove the transfer box another mechanic tried and he just about managed to do it. Hope this post helps someone else.
