Hi all
i’ve just bought a 2022 CX60. What a car, I love it. When I start it for the first trip of the day the radio doesn’t come on but for every subsequent start the radio comes on just fine. Anyone got any ideas ? My only thought are that the car needs a new 12v battery ?

any thoughts appreciated

well it is ALWAYS a good idea when ever there is any electrical issue problem or anything that is power related to get the battery load tested no matter the age of the battery or when it was check last.

As for your radio description, I would after checking the battery to see about getting an ECU flash that on your model Mazda will also flash the BCM. Or at least have a "skilled" and certified diagnostic service technician check for information in the ECU and BCM that may be causing your issue which going unchecked may eventually affect other area's controlled by the BCM.

I do not advise the DIY of disconnecting and reconnecting the battery method to resolve most any electrical issues. However it is a good idea to check and clean all 4 battery connection by following the ecact disconnect and reconnect serving of the cable.

Failure to do any other of this recommendations may cause other issues unrelated to your current concern.
