Default Brake Problem

I own a 2025 UK Mazda CX60 PHEV. To start the vehicle, I’m required to first depress the brake pedal and press the start button. Sometimes when pressing the pedal, it plunges to the floor stopping just short. I don’t know if this is the full extent of its travel or if it has been stopped by resistance in the hydraulic system. Once released the pedal returns to its original position and the brake seems to work as expected though on other occasions the braking assistance doesn’t seem to fully work.

Has anyone else suffered this problem?

This is NOT a common operating condition. As it is that your Mazda is still under warranty and that this is related to a safety system ...THE BRAKES... you should go to Mazda ASAP and get it serviced .

It's not about comparing or collecting unconfirmed information from other owners but a as with all safety issues this one is a single issue having only to do with your Mazda.

Now if later on it is determined with MAZDA that is an issue like all issues that relates to a specific VIN year model and production date then a TSB and possibly a SAFETY recall will be sent to you directly. But until them this is related to your Mazda only.
