Default Electrical "Christmas Tree"

Subject: Electrical "Christmas Tree" and No Communication with Modules after Jump-Start - 2024 Mazda CX-50
Hello everyone,
I’m facing a major electrical issue with a 2024 Mazda CX-50 (Preferred trim) imported from the US. The car had front-end damage (missing bumper, right headlight, and radar/distronic module).
The timeline of events:
  • Initial State: The car arrived with the front disassembled. Initially, it seemed fine, but after 2 weeks of sitting, I got a "Battery Low / Power Saving Mode" message on the dash.
  • The Trigger: During radiator replacement, I removed the left headlight. After this, the power liftgate stopped working and the key fob wouldn't lock the doors. I assumed the battery was dead.
  • The Jump-Start: I attempted to jump-start the CX-50 using a 2006 Honda Fit battery. The car started immediately, but then all the problems began.
Current Symptoms:
  • Instrument Cluster: Lights up but shows every possible warning light/error.
  • Non-functional: Power windows, gear shifter (stuck in Park), side mirrors, hazard lights button, heated seats, power liftgate, and all steering wheel buttons (except the "Info" button).
  • Functional: Infotainment screen (Audio), Climate Control (AC), Backup Camera, and Brake Lights.
  • Diagnostics: My mechanic tried connecting a scanner, but it says "No communication with Instrument Cluster (ICU)" and several other modules. Fuses were checked and appear to be okay.
Specific Questions:
  • Could the missing Radar (Distronic) module or an open connector in the front harness be crashing the CAN-bus?
  • Is it possible that the BCM (Body Control Module) or FBCM was damaged or went into a hard lockout due to the voltage spike during the jump-start?
  • Are there specific ground points near the radiator support or headlights that could cause a total communication failure if slightly loose?
