The number of beeps has increased as the week has progressed (purchased last Sunday). Another person has same issue and so I have put his video below so you can hear noise.


Any help/ideas?

Wow, that's strange! I had no idea that a CX-5 could even make that sound.

 

It has a theft deterrent system and S.W.A.T GPS locator system installed by dealer. Since the sound is unfamiliar to many, I'm going to assume it must be related to either of these two. I've contacted the dealership manager for more info. Thanks for the replies!

 

Don't you think that this bit of info could have been shared in your initial post?

 

not really, as I was not informed of any auditory alarm installed (and as it turns out, the Theft Deterrent System is no more than just a code that is imprinted throughout the vehicle to aid in recovery) and I don't know why a GPS recovery system would have an audio alarm attached.
It's a new car, I assumed the sound was something that many have experienced and would get a quick response here. That doesn't seem to be the case and I'm only aware of the one other guy who's video I posted above.

 

I have that same issue with my 2013 Mazda3. Thanks for the info! I'll contact the dealer to find out how to get that super annoying sound to stop. I feel like I'm stealing the car every time I start it up.
