I have a 2013 Mazda CX-5. With no rhyme or reason sometimes when I begin to go over 60 mph a high pitched whine/buzz will begin and pretty much last for the rest of my drive. When I took it into the Mazda dealer they said they were able to get the noise to stop when they pushed up on the windshield. When they tested the seal of the windshield, they found no problems with the seal, and proceeded to tell me they could change the windshield but no guarantee that it would fix the problem. Any other suggestions on what this could be? I have videos of the noise, but unfortunately am unable to download them for some reason.

 

huh? isnt the windshield BONDED? that means it is GLUED to the body. a lot of cars nowdays have bonded windshields, it adds to the stiffness of the chassis. if it IS bonded, pushing on it wont do squat, unless it is loose, which would mean manufacturer defect. what you can do, is tape around the outside of the windshield where it joins the body, then take it for a test drive and see if the noise is still there. if it is gone, then you have a warranty claim. if it is still there, leave the tape on, and tell them to check again, and this time no bulls**t. document your claim, and check into your state's lemon law on new cars
