I know this guy personally (via Automotive seminars and even 1 SEMA show. loud and obnoxious) and IMHO (also agreed by so many other in the auto service industry) should have stopped advising about a service information 2 decades ago. He still is great for DIY prior 1995 but sooooo sketchy with anything newer.

Maybe in the UK but here in the USA the better quality body and paint shops have no problem at all!

This has been hashed out, talked out for years on every Mazda forum that owners have Soul RED.

More generated MYTGH about the color then actual facts.

Do a forum search and you should find lots of already started and hundreds of responses pertaining to this.

Some key information is about the metal vs plastic parts of the Mazda body that need to be properly prepared before the SOUL RED paint is applied. Just like a few other colors.

Also NO SOUL RED is NOT more susceptible to impact chipping then any other color MAZDA's . It just like any other platform some colors tend to show more impact chips then other colors.

Do you research ........... this forum has historical great information...

He comes across like he had a few gin and tonics before recording that.

Its difficult to watch and listen to this particular individual- so I dont anymore - - personal preference I suppose - yet he flip flops so much , videos with titles in absolutes .. like .... never buy this brand .... or...10 cars that wont last 50k ... catch phrases to get people to click on the video ,,,- he had some fundamental suggestions which I did agree with early on --but it seems as if hes a bit of a " sponsor " now with all the changes in his recommendations on specific brands , and tightrope walking on his opinions ....- as well it seems ...many you tube personalities , once popular then somehow morph into mechanical engineers - which im pretty sure hes not - I think hes more of A pr salesman than anything else

Pretty spot on..retread

He was.
He is actually educated and trained in many…… well anyone can look up his career .. and history . I know the individuals he gets a lots of his so called technical info from and the rest is from an investment firm that funds his exploits . Now that info may be a little more interesting searching challenging to find ? But it’s there. The thing that many don’t realize is they are all from the 1980 and waaaaaaay older . No higher education like any Engineering field of study.

Can’t argue his successful YouTube’s watched by thousands of DIY

Eric of Eric the car guys , we are acquainted and he knows me well enough . I would tend to recommend his YouTube how-to over anyone else.
