Default Replacing passenger side mirror housing 2014 CX-5

I cracked the plastic housing of my passenger side mirror while backing out of my garage. Everything else thankfully still works. Has anyone replaced this? I already bought the new housing but am having second thoughts about doing it on my own - with my teenage son. Thoughts? Tips? Encouragement?

Pardon me for assuming here, but I suspect you're not particularly mechanically inclined. (Relying on a teenager for help was the give-away!) If I were you, and you have a relationship with a body shop, I would let them deal with it. It couldn't be that expensive and it will probably save you a lot of grief.

There is probably a YouTube DIY video on the subject if you want some instructions.

Default Thanks

Thanks for your replies. Surprisingly, there are no YouTube videos on this. But, we were able to do it with no issues. Hardest part was getting the door panel off and back on again.
