2021 Carbon Edition had about 6 months all of a sudden the Remote Start stopped working with the App. Any one else having this problem or a fix ?

 

Mazda announced some time ago that they were discontinuing the Remote Start function. I don’t remember the exact end date but that could be your problem.

 

Mazda claims the 3G network it uses is being discontinued and remote start won't work soon. I haven't seen any announcement about a network upgrade. Don't get attached to it.

 

As far as the key fob is concerned, it could be that the battery in the fob may be starting to 192.168.100.1 192.168.1.1 go. Try replacing it.

 

You don’t remote start using the key fob. You use the Mazda app on your phone…..

 

Hello I just experienced this in the last month. I took my vehicle into Mazda dealership and they found the TCU ( telematics communication unit) system needed to have it's software updated. In fact the whole software system needed updating. Problem solved for me .
