I have searched this site with no results so.... what is the sensor/module bolted to the bottom of the oil pan.

That would be the oil level sensor that trips when the oil level is approximately 1 liter low.

cadcamjim, thank you for your quick reply. I consider myself very informed about my car and didn't realize it had such a warning until I was changing my transmission filter that I noticed this device on the bottom of the oil pan. There is barely a mention and hard to find info in the owner's manual. With my maintenance and constant watch on these things I suspect I'll never see the warning light, but at least I now know it is there, haha. Thanks again, Tom
