New 2016 CX-5 Owner looking for advice.
Just picked up a fully loaded 2016 CX-5. Please forgive me if I ask some dumb questions but I'm new to the CX-5 and Mazda family.
I found the Mazda tweaks website for entertainment system tweaks, I have version 55.00.753. Anyone know if the tweaks are generally stable? Are there other factory firmware upgrades I should do before loading the tweak firmware? Are there downsides to using the tweak firmware? I downloaded the Mazda Connected services app and scanned the VIN but get a message saying connected services is not supported for that VIN. Just wondering if it doesn't work on 2016's or do I need to turn something else on first? Looking for any tips and tricks related to anything maintenance/upgrades or entertainment system upgrades if anyone has any suggestions or advice. |
Current version is 70.00###

All depends on what you want. The latest Mazda software tries to fixes all the bugs.

Do you happen to know if it's possible to revert back to an earlier firmware after installing a newer version?

If my failing memory is accurate, if you do the AIO Tweeks you can save your existing firmware (or multiple firmware evolutions) and do a revert if you don't like the tweaks. Once you do the tweaks you won't go back. Trust me.
Still unclear though on whether it's preferable to install AIO Tweaks over current firmware V55.x or upgrade to 70.x first then install AIO Tweaks. |
