Um...... you buy an aftermarket part (not even from the dealer parts department ) go to a dealer and expect free service or instruction from the service department how to install it and when they don't give that service for FREE think negatively about the dealership????

I'm not certain why you or anyone would purchase a part that you intend to install yourself without knowing how to do it.
And then "expect" a dealer to do it and/or take the time to walk you through the procedure free of charge.
There are multiple online videos on how to change the cabin air filter and almost anyone here could have told you how.
I certainly wouldn't blame a dealer for an issue that I created myself, but that is how I operate.

I've been working on cars since I was 5. I've been fixing them since I was 10. (We won't talk about thoe 5 years again. ) If I've never done a particular repair before, or it's one I've done but not for a while, I'm not ashamed to attend the U of Y. (University of Youtube.) I don't know how many timing chains I've put in SBC engines over the years. The first one with a serpentine belt, I went over it and noticed a bolt that is open on the multiple belts but hidden on the serpentine belt setup. It probably saved my a good amount of time to watch that video.

Granted, there are some videos there that are a waste of electrons. Mostly though, they are fairly helpful.

Primarily to Lobstah on the 2nd part.

For an analogy:
Cape Fear Seafood has a delicious grilled lobster tail; when Publix had a special on tails I wouldn't have dreamed of going to that restaurant to ask the chef how he cooks them! (They turned out fine,)

As an aside our vacation house is in the Poland & Paris area if you know of any good steamed lobster places there or Lewiston-Auburn feel free to message me.

No need to shout.
Please tell us, if not getting free advice from the dealer, what were your expectations?
