It is a type-o. And I know the other you are *referring to.
I prefer Burris

I have now pretty well said that Votex is my now go-to drain plugs with Dimple now out of business.

Gold Plug is fairly new and their claim that their magnet is often copied is ... well while they have a good product their 2 step method was used by Dimple long before that company existed. LOL
There boosting about that does not make me want to use them. But that personal based on have some companies that copied my engineered and developed products and have similar claims.

both seem like good choices...both started within 2 years of each other votex (1999) and goldplug (2001) and look to have the same pricing and build quality

wow great way to tell the quality of a product by when they started their company??? And no you cant see from their ads about the quality or how they are actually assembled. But if you followed what I have been trying to suggest and tell you there are key points to using what I suggested and it was not Gold plug. But I am not going to knock or promote really a product manufactured in the USA I just can tell from their ad pictures what they did and did not do. But that was their thoughts on building a better mouse trap just not mine. Votex however looking into the company who owns it and their prehistory before the company I know that they are not offering junk! In fact their is lot of information about the company and founders. Not really from Gold? That in itself makes you go HMMMM????

Ok I am finished on the subject of drain plugs. LOL

i was just responding to you when you were talking about how new goldplug is...saying both votex and goldplug are about the same age...i have read on other forums that people have had good luck with gold plug as well and i wouldn't imagine that they would be around if the product didn't perform well...but i am swayed to go with votex if i end up buying one
