Key Battery Low
My 2014 GT is about 18 mos old. I got this message at start up a week or two ago after the car sat for a week, but got it again after a 150 mile last night
Seems a bit soon for the battery to run out, but it's only a CR2025 so it should be an easy fix right? So how does one open on the fob to access a battery compartment? I can't seem to find any way to open it. Is there any other condition that I should be concerned about that could also cause this message? TIA, TCK |
"Google is your friend":
Batteries in these fobs are not known for their long life. 18 months is on the short end of the spectrum, but not by much. I replaced mine at a little over 2 years. Depends on amount of use, but today's key fobs are involved in an awful lot of the car's functions. So short life is to be expected. |
thanks
Betcha I ruin this thing trying this :) |
It's really quite easy!
