Issue with Entertainment System 2021 CX-5

My first post here. My Mazda is the 2021 CX-5 Signature Edition.

First, I retired in 2021 and decided to begin mt retirement with a reliable vehicle that would not kill me in price. While working, my last 4 leases were Acura MDX'S or RDX's. Loved those vehicles (and associated features) but didnt want to burden myself with a large monthly expense due to my new "retirement" budget.

I actually wound up with every feature I had with the Acura's. I've really come to love this Mazda. My only negative comment is the feel to the car is not as overall solid in ride and handling as the Acura's. But this was expected so no big deal.

The one issue I can't seem to get resolved is a rebooting of my Entertainment System.

At least once a day, my system will reboot the Entertainment System. I'll be listening to music and the first thing that happens is I lose the music. When I then look at the screen, the Mazda logo is displayed and the system boots up. I then have to go into the menu and choose my music source again. Mazda has told me 3 times there is no way to identify the issue unless it fails completely.

Has anyone else seen this type of issue?

Thaks,
Jeff

That is an issue I have seen mentioned several times on the forums. You will need to go to the dealer and have them work it up. It could just be a firmware update needed. You can do this yourself if desired. Look and see what version you have. 11038 is the current available version for your '21. 11040 will be out shortly. Some folks have had the entire system replaced due to defects.
