I Stop not working
Hi there has anyone experienced the istop light going out and if you press the switch the light comes on but istop doesnt work at all will it hurt if its not on as
i dont really care if its not cutting the engine out at a stop my battery is fully charged cheers john |
Wont hurt if it doesn't work. Just means something in the system is right. If you want to get it fixed book it in with Mazda. If your out south visit South Auckland Motors. I used to work there.

Many thanks Grim Reaper just wanted to know if its ok to drive with out it working it wont bother me
if its not functioning probably cost heaps to fix lol. cheers john (they are in Pukekohe if i decide to get it fixed ) |
Have you had the battery tested with a stop-start spec battery tester?
If the battery State of Charge ( SOC) is under 75% i-stop won't work. If the battery has been disconnected, reconnected & i-stop relearn not carried out the i-stop wont work. If you have the heater on max cold, i-stop wont work. If the the heater is on windscreen mode, the i-stop wont work. |
Thanks for that info ,all very interesting and i havent had the battery tested by Mazda just put it
on my charger until it says fully charged ,batteries from Mazda are around $700 i think |
