Default how so you remove plastic engine cover in 2016 CX-5
There are no visible screws and do no want to pull too hard as there may be unseen plastic clips that could be broken.

There are a series of simple "push-on" clips built into the underside of the cover. Just grab the cover on either side and pull straight up. It's pretty hard to screw it up.
