Do be careful. On our earlier Acuras, there was an HID adjustment, but if you went too far, the whole mechanism disengaged, the light dropped down, pointing very low, and the headlight unit had to be replaced. Never happened to me, but on the forums (fora?) more than one said they adjusted too far and it cost several hundred dollars.

Thank you - that may be why they wouldn't aim it higher than a certain level.

If you have another Mazda dealer in your area, I'd take it there for a second opinion. Mine were raised enough that I don't consider it an issue and other drivers aren't bothered. Your not being able to see is a bigger danger to other drivers than your raised headlights.
