Gas pedal has resistance after sitting for awhile

Gas pedal has resistance after sitting for awhile
I'm a new owner of a 2016 mazda cx-5, when I go to drive it after sitting over night or all day, when I go to press the gas pedal down to start driving, it initially feels like it catches on something and then frees up and is fine.
I saw a older post in here where he had the same problem.
How do i fix whatever the issue is?
