Fog lights on warning light
Is there a fog light warning indicator somewhere on the dash console (or anywhere) to let you know that the fog lights are on? There is one for the headlights on the 2006 CX-5 touring however I do not see one for the fog lights.

CX-5 wasn't launched until 2012. Did you mean 2016 CX-5?
Are they factory fitted fog lights? If Yes, there will be 1 on the instrument cluster. |
fog lights warning indicator
Oops, sorry for typo. Yes 2016 CX-5 Touring with factory fog lights. There is an indicator light on the instrument cluster to indicate that the headlights are on but when fog lights at turned on there is no additional indicator light. This is confirmed by the owners manual which describes a plethora of indicator lights and I triple checked, fog lights is not among them.
Is this an oversight by Mazda? |
No, there is not a fog light on indicator in my 2016.5 GT. I think that it's really stupid of Mazda not to include this. EVERY other car that I ever had that included fogs had an indicator.
Another thing along these lines that bugs me is the right hand stalk that controls the wipers. There's no way to tell if the stalk is set for Auto or off just by looking. |
even their 2016 mazda 3 still lacks an indicator light. still, not a big deal. they go on and off with the normal lights.

Hmmm, must be a left hand drive market oversight. RHD models definitely have a indicator symbol in the cluster.
