Does 2018 Mazda CX-5 has different weather packages?

I'm planing to switch from 2009 MINI Cooper S to 2018 Mazda CX-5. I discovered that my MINI had a warm weather intake manifold and not the cold weather intake manifold and therefore it caused the throttle to freeze up and eventually the car wouldn't start. After a few arguments, MINI USA agreed to replace it almost for free since I purchased the car in north america and it should have come with the cold weather intake manifold.

Now, I'm planning to buy 2018 Mazda CX-5 from Texas and use it in northern states like Illinois/Michican and even Canada. My question, should I expect similar issue like I had with MINI or it should work in any state whether it's Illinois/Michigan or Texas?

Since it's a 2018 , do you see options for such a thing on Mazdas website ?

I personally have never ever owned a car that was designed to be ran in a certain temperature range ..

Excuse my ignorance but it almost sounds like the mini Cooper had a defect or something I can't see why it can't handle cold temperatures without having some kind of package or something? Just sounds weird... I could see if you lived in Alaska or way up north where you would have a oil warmer like a dipstick that plugs into keep the oil warm but for designated parts of the engine to not function just because the temperature is colder seems a little bit like a lack of engineering?

I agree with what Arkainzeye is saying. The CX-5 is designed for Snow & desert conditions. I can't imagine there being any options or different manifolds.
