CX5 trans fluid
I recently bought a 2014 CX5 2.4L automatic
What is involved with changing the trans fluid. Is there a pan and filter or is it just a drain and fill. Thanks |
Mazda has no specified service interval for the 6AT in your CX-5. There is no drain plug and no conventional dipstick, although there is a way to check fluid level from underneath the car. Go here for more info: https://www.mazdas247.com/forum/show...smission-fluid

Thanks
Has anyone dropped the pan and replaced the filter and fluid that comes out |
No filters. If it doesn't have a drain bung then you need to drop the pan.

You should know this, having worked for a dealer!;) |
There is a drain plug if you want to a quick drain and fill. Drop the bottom plastic panel and you'll see it.

thanks
is the fill hole hard to get to? |
It as easy as changing your oil. When I drained mine I got out about 4 quarts.
|
Thanks
Is the inlet plug accessed from underneath or above? |
The dipstick is the access fill point. It is located under the air cleaner. Just remove the air cleaner box and you will se it there. I think a little 10mm bolt retains the dipstick.
