Cx5 or cx50 2023?
Hi everyone!!!
I'm going tomorrow do a test drive on a cx5, and I was wondering if someone has drive both cx5/50 base models (I don't want turbo). Is it true that cx50 ride is much harsh than cx5? I live in montreal which is a city full of holes and rogue roads...also I'm not sure the $5k more dollar worth for something of same specs. Tbh the only reason I'm looking cx50 is because is new and felt better looking
Cheers!!!

I overheard a sales dude say to a potential buyer, unless you're doing off road adventures, the CX-5 is the better highway machine. Things I've seen posted in reviews from owners/publications seem to echo that. I sat in a CX-50 and with the lower ceiling my hair was brushing it (I'm 6') so my choice was made for me either way.
Don't forget there's always cars that might look better, until you get it and have buyer's remorse.
The CX5 is built in Japan ,it has an independent rear suspension . The CX50 is built in America has more interior volume ,beam real suspension and better ground clearance , but IMHO the quality control and ride and handling of the CX5 is better . Drive both back to back on the same day and decide for yourself . The CX5 has been in production longer ,and is more likely to be sorted out and have fewer bugs/teething pains than the new CX50 in it's first year of production.
