CX-5: any spider issues?

I'm interested in the CX-5 but I'm almost completely terrified of spiders and I know that there was a recall concerning spiders a few years ago. It looks like the issue is mostly with the Mazda6. Have any CX-5 drivers had issues with spiders? I'm wondering if there is a technical explanation for why spiders would be attracted to and invade the Mazda6 but not other Mazdas.

I know any sales person I talk to will say it's been resolved but if any current CX-5 drivers could confirm, it would put my mind at ease and help me make my final decision on which car to purchase.

*hands her a cookie and pats her on the head*

Don't you worry none about them spiders. Mazda recalled them and made them not so scary.

It was an issue on some 2014 Mazda 6s, but there hasn't been anything recently.

Can you say “urban legend”?

Hmmm, I was thinking, "A CX-5 Spyder? I didn't know Mazda offered the CX-5 as a convertible." :p

Dated but real, there was a recall in 2014.

Mazda issues recall because spiders invade fuel tank causing fire risk.

Yes, that's exactly what I was referring to haha. I heard that they put some "fixes" into place but that it's still an issue. I was wondering if it was an issue across all Mazdas or just the Mazda6. I really like the car but if I'm continually finding spiders in it, I won't be very happy. I'm looking at the 2018 but honestly, 2014 isn't that long ago especially if the software and the vent covers they implemented don't always work.
