Default Brake job on 2021.5 Mazda cx5. Anyone done it yet?

Has anyone done a brake job on the newer cx5, ie 2021.5+ model?
I understand the brake back off procedure is different. And special software is needed to back off calipers.
if anyone has tried please advise your model year and how.
Thanks

No software or scan tool required. Just instructions for the procedure to place the brakes into "Maintenance" mode.

I understand the OLD Maintenance" mode procedure does not work, as per one utube video. I want to know what procedure anyone actually has used. No assumptions.

There has been no change in the workshop manual procedure. The EPB needs to be placed into Maintenance mode.

Hi, I'm about to do mine. Is there an maintenance how to manual for 2022 CX-5?
I found brakes-841.html but it looks like older CX-5. Thanks.

There are available service downloads on the internet.... if you take the time, you will find them. Most are not free!!!!

Yes, thank you so much. I'm asking on the forum because I'd like to get help with it hopefully without a fee. If anyone has the instruction for free, please let me know. Thanks.

Of course I can search but that's what the forum is for, to save member time and effort. You don't need to reply if you are not going to provide the info. Please save yourself time and leave the thread be. I hope you have better things to do with your life. Have a good day.

Lol....

This is a typical interaction my friend. I wish I could help you. Maybe ask on https://mazdas247.com/forum/s/cx-5-general.471/ as well? Less of this type of stuff on that forum in my experience. I too, need to swap my front rotors and pads. I am going to have it done a local shop for about $200. I have the new OEM rotors and pads already.

My dealer quoted me over $600 which seemed a bit over the top. It will be about $400 with my method.
