Default Bluetooth connects and disconnects...

I am having an issue that when I first get in the car, get connected and start a phone call it is connected but then disconnects and reconnects over and over. It seems if I waiting a while before attempting a call say.. 10-15 min into a drive then this is not an issue.

Any thoughts?

On my 2014 CX5 GT, upon starting the vehicle, it takes several minutes for everything to boot up and get connected. When the phone connects, it is not yet finished as it then will download the contact list in the phone. However, it takes maybe three minutes for the phone and NAV to get settled in, not 10 to 15.

Delete All phone pairings on your stereo, delete All pairings on your phone. Repair them & see how it goes.

I'm having this same specific issue and it drives me nuts.

Did you ever resolve it?

I have a 2016 CX-5 Grand Touring

It's a slow system.
On start up, it takes a few minutes for the Mazda system to " fully come online".
I don't try and sync anything until screen finishes it's boot up procedures and is ready to use.

Update your infotainment firmware I bet its very old, either search online or visit dealer. Version check: Settings--> System-->scroll all the way down and select About

Thanks for giving input. I'm sure it's accurate that my software is outdated because I don't think I have ever had it updated. OS is on 51.00.300.
Edit/Update: It looks like the current version is 70+, and I need the dealer to do the update since it's particularly old. Will someone confirm that?

I should give more details:
1. This issue did not occur for the first few years of ownership. It now happens regardless of which phone is connecting. Presumably bluetooth has changed in the last probably 8 years since this OS was loaded.
2. My phone automatically connects when the car starts and if I get a call in the first 5-10 minutes of driving, it's going to pick it up on the car speakerphone for 10 seconds, then drop my phone bluetooth connection completely for maybe 10 seconds, then reconnect, then drop, and so on. I think I've had it repeat that like 4-5 times in a single call. It's infuriating because I have to fully turn off bluetooth or it will take over the call and there is 1-2 seconds of no audio while it transitions.
3. I'm not doing anything specific or telling it to sync anything. This occurs even when there is no visual indication that anything is booting up or loading. I generally don't play music via bluetooth until I've been driving for a bit because it also will cause my phone to disconnect temporarily.

The dealer isn't particularly close to me but I will try to remember to bring this up next time I'm there. I have forgotten the last couple times. Is there a way for me to do it myself via USB or something? I have already pulled the SD card because the OS would crash before when it was in and I don't use the nav anyway.
