Actually, there is a perfect car and it's also made by Mazda.
While the Miata does fine in a little snow, I needed a better car for a lot of snow. My 29-year string of Perfect cars has come to and end. Fortunately, second best is not too big a step down.

I am about your size and drive a Mazda3 and a MINI. Both are larger than I would prefer. I don’t sit in the back and whenever there are more than 2, I offer to drive or they can drive if they need more room. Everyone else drives an SUV of some sort but would prefer to sit in the back of my 3. No one has ever said to me that I should drive a larger car they know I drive what I like.

If I typically sat in the back of a car I paid for, it would be a Genesis G90.

Default Overheard getting out of another car

A '76 MG midget may be tiny but not bad on the inside (I'm 5'11" 150 Lb) one day I was getting out of it I heard a lady across the street exclaim to her friend "Did you see that guy get out of THAT car!?" I had to chuckle at that.

You're right of course and I'll take your word for it since I've never had my MX out in the snow and I never will if I can help it. That's what the CX is for.

Just enjoy the car and don't worry about it.
A bit off topic, I do some consulting and one of my customers is 6ft 4in and probably 300 lbs. He was looking for a car and one he checked out was the new Mini. He could sit in it and leg room was OK. The deal was killed when he asked his wife what she thought, her response was: "You look like a Shriner in the Fourth of July parade." I don't remember what he actually purchased.

Default Big guys and CX 5

Went to a customers yesterday and one of the sales boys had a new Dodge Ram Limited. This thing is an absolute beast of a truck, the receptionist said it takes him a 5 point turn to park in in the work carpark.

The funny bit is he's like Tom Cruises height - I'd love to see him jumping out of it as he must literally jump.

That's the other end of the scale - I'm sure he has his reasons for driving a Ram but not quite sure why he uses it as his daily commute in a sales job in a small flat city.

Been there, normally I ignore their ignorance.
But occasionally I say, "You should see me getting out of my Ferrari".
