For me, Soul Red Crystal Metallic is the eye candy of choice. Our 2014 is this paint and has held up well with care. I have also admired from afar, the Sonic Silver Metallic which also works for me.

I liked the dark grey, they call it Meteor Grey Metallic.

The 2017-18 white parked next to other high end cars ar my local grocery store was shocking beautiful.. it appears to not just be WHITE but almost have some type of pearl or extra shine to it.. I saw it parked next to a range rover that was white, and I have to give mazda a thumbs up for their choice of colors when picking that color white ! It gave the mazda cx-5 a more classy high end look compared to like Honda's white or even Toyota

Every manufacturer offers a pearlescent white these days so they can charge more for it.

Your 2014 is SR metallic, not SR crystal metallic. And you should be thankful as there have been issues with paint chipping on the latter finish (which, BTW, has been used on gen 2 CX-5s only).

My 2007 VW GTI is Candy White and I hated white paint until I saw the pearlescent version. Now I love it. (Not on the CX-5 though...) |
I’m going to go with one of the blues. The reason is that everyone else drives a colorless car from white to black with everything in between including silver, while the red is too expensive and harder to maintain. |
I drive a white 2016 and it's very nice. I would like a Mercedes bronze one day too.
