Back Seat Comfort Level (2014)
I read that the flat bottomed back seats are not great for long trips. I have kids and am concerned about their comfort. Can someone let me know how they are?
Thanks.
Thanks.
They are...not terrible?
I've been in the back of our 2014 for 163 miles (roughly two and a half hours) from Houston to Austin. It wasn't the most comfortable I've ever been, I wish they tilted back juuuuust a little. I'm also a big guy, though, so maybe kids would feel more comfortable.
They aren't nearly as comfortable as, say, an Equinox or a CRV (which honestly had the most comfortable ride I've been in). But they are miles better than the '13 Escape, the C-MAX, the Tuscon (this list goes on, I've been in just about everything in this class).

We just picked up ours yesterday.... going on a 4 hr trip this weekend. We have 3 kids: 17, 14 and 12. I'll report back.
I think it will be a little cramped but tolerable. The slight floor hump will make it tight for the person in the middle seat, I think.
