Auto Temp Control - fan speed

2018 Mazda CX5........when the interior is hot (parked in the sun for a couple hours) and you start the car, shouldn't the a/c fan speed go full blast, then gradually diminish as the interior temps go down? Just wondering if there's a button or setting I'm not doing.

The A/C is on Auto, and we use the Circulate Mode.

Thanks in advance....

Cancel, got it figured out.....

FYI, using recirculation mode is the wrong one if the vehicle has been sitting in the sun for some time. Why? Because the air in the car will be far hotter that the outside air is, sometimes by 30 degrees or more. With the recirc on you are trying to cool that very hot air, and it will take a lot longer for the interior to cool down. Instead, use outside air for the first few minutes, then switch to recirculation. Living as I do on the surface of the sun, tricks like this really help.

Living in hot and steamy South Florida, that's my approach: open all four windows and leave 'em open for the first five minutes of driving to blow out the hot air. (It probably would help to open the sunroof two but I never do that.) Then turn on the AC at full blast.

I run a temperatures gauge in the left vent. Recirculation will and can be measured and in my experience by observation cool down the interior either equal or faster using recirculation then not. And you dont pull in hot ambient air. I suggest before more interesting absolute comments and worded like "wrong" would be to first do some real world testing with a gauge.

I might suggest that some of you toss at least a towel on the dash to isolate some of the direct sunlight from heating the upper ducks or just getting a windshield sun reflector
I looked at some of your ambient temperature's during the summer from the location on your user info and are pretty close to what mine are maybe mine even a few degree hotter at times? Today 93-96F And it is not even July yet. LOL

LOL what is special is you never really test things your self only what you find to support your own thoughts? (anyone can look up your responses to see this as accurate)
I clearly said quote: I run a temperatures gauge in the left vent. I think its sad that some people will go out of there way to find any answer right or wrong on the internet that will support what they want that answer to be.
You know when wiki first started they hired people to post info. I had /have an account and use to be able to access anyone's posted info and add or correct inaccuracies. ANYONE can post that the world is really flat.... look it up the flat earthbelief,, oh wait I am sorry you are part of that group aren't you? LOL

Really come back when you personally conduct research, using the the scientific method to collect measurable, empirical evidence in an experiment related to a hypothesisto support or contradict someone else comment's based on some form of testing or use of equipment to support conclusion. LOL

One last thing I recomend that you always look to who the author is that post these informationals like the ones you posted/ :) I looked at all of them. LOL wow!! really LOL

So your gauge shows, it appears, 80 degrees in your garage. Not very hot. In the interest of scientific research, why don't you post a time sequence of a super heated car testing the two theories.? The open window, a/c not on recirculation, etc like described in the posted articles vs leaving windows closed and max a/c on recirculation. And then you can demonstrate which method will cool our cars down fastest? Be good information to have heading into summer.

This is getting funny .....
Ya thanks for the confidence but not interested.... honestly I have better projects going on... LOL , you can do this if you want? That picture I took at 11 am btw specifically for this thread. lol. Look... I check customers vehicle's all week long running into the shop saying there AC don't work or work well as in will not cool down fast enough, and have been servicing AC for a long, long, long, LONG time now. I even still have a 30lb of R12 for special clients. ;) LOL
Besides I would never expose my interior to the dirt and dust that your test would involved needing be done. Ever see any my posts how I clean my MAZDA? YOu might check out how I clean MY engine bay sometime? ;) LOL

CX5 fan auto switch

I need some advice please. My CX5 fan auto switch used to increase the blow to its maximum when pressed, but has stopped doing that. Also, the indicator light stays on until we manually adjust the fan speed. Is there a setting I need to know or another problem?
