Anyone experiencing engine stall due to the cylinder de-activation recall
As the title say, is there anyone experiencing engine stall in their 2018 CX-5 due to the cylinder de-activation recall? I have an upcoming road trip and I am on the edge.

I've driven my 2018 GT AWD 20k miles in the first year and never experienced any issues at all. I perform my own oil changes every 5k, so I haven't been back to the dealer since the car was purchased new. In other words, I think you'll be fine.
We're driving "Cinco" to Telluride for a long weekend, which is 6.5 hours from home and I have zero reservations about taking this vehicle on the trip. |
I am at 1.5 years and about 13K and will take the risk. Will report once I am back.

Is there not a recall out in your country/market?
Its just a simple software update. |
I had the CD engine recall #3719F for the "Rocker Arm Reprogram PCM" completed earlier this week. I haven't had any issues or noticed any differences with my CX5 since the reprogramming was completed.

Here in the USA the status of the recall is still "Incomplete; Remedy not yet available"
I assume they are waiting for approval by the NHTSA. |

Back from a long road trip and no issues. Will ask the dealer this weekend about the recall and report back.

Quick update: I went to the dealer today and they took care of the CD engine recall #3719F for the "Rocker Arm Reprogram PCM"
I asked about why the recall information still shows up as "remedy not available, incomplete" and was informed that the recall has not been officially launched yet, but they have the updated software and are able to complete the recall. Hence, if your vehicle is affected, go ahead and stop by your dealer to have the software update performed. |
