Default Navigation on 2020 Grand Touring Reserve?

Noob here. Looking at buying a 2020 CX-5 GTR, and noticed that they took Nav away from the GTR trim level for 2020. Does the 2020 GTR still have the SD card slot? If so, can I buy an SD card from the dealer (or elsewhere) & then have navigation? Thanks!

We just bought our 2020 GT and it does have the SD card slot for the navigation card. Bought the card on ebay for less than $40. It is due to arrive tomorrow.

Bought the card based on input from several people on forums. The ebay listings seem to be mostly/all 2018 versions, and are Mazda branded. Haven't seen any reviews that indicated that they don't work as they should in the CX-5s. Folks say they can be updated as Mazda puts out the updates.

You do need to be careful that you buy the right card for your Mazda. I would consider buying from Amazon where you can easily return it if it doesn’t work. I negotiated it into my purchase from the dealer.

They seem to be leaving it out since so many are going with CarPlay instead of the Mazda system. I prefer the Mazda system. I find it easier to operate and avoids the need to connect the phone every time I get in the car.

Got our $36 ebay one today. It is a genuine Mazda card. Works great.

I would save on the card and just use Waze/Google Maps through the Carplay app.

I use Waze exclusively for nav. But the card does give you real time speed limits and traffic signs on the heads up windshield display.

I bought the SD card on Amazon for $50 for my 2020 CX-5. It works perfectly. Make sure it is the “K” SD chip. My navigation not only works but so does sign recognition and speed limit show up on HUD and speedo. Lot cheaper than $400 option at the dealer!
