Android Auto Mono Sound

Just a few days after getting my 2019 CX-5 GT my phone (pixel 3) upgraded to Android 10.
I have not figured out if this is a Mazda issue or an Android issue yet.
About 1 out of 5 times when I plug in my USB to run Android Auto I only get music from 1 speaker. (front drivers tweeter)
If I unplug the phone and plug it back in everything restores to normal. This has happened 4-5 times now.

Just checking to see if anyone else has experienced this issue.

The last time it happened was very strange, I left it plugged in playing in mono and exited android auto from the mazda menu.
It started playing the FM radio station and kept playing my Android Auto music (deezer) at the same time! It was quite strange.
I unplugged it and everything went back to normal. Just a little buggy I guess.

Have you tried another phone? Have you tried another cable?

I haven't. I ran a special cable for this because of the poor placement of the Android USB port in the center console.
And I only have 1 phone.
I will try a 2nd cable for a while and see if I can re-create the issue.

Thanks!

I've seen the same with my Pixel 3 but only with Android 9. I haven't seen it yet with Android 10. I have a Bose Audio model CX-5. I wonder if their is an Infotainment firmware upgrade available?

I finally had the issue happen with a 2nd USB cable so I do not think it is a cable issue. I will check for a infotainment upgrade the next time I have the car in for maintenance.
