Default AM/FM radio

We only listen to broadcast radio in our car. When we had our 2006 Mazda 6 when travelling away from home, we could temporary install the six strongest radio signals on each of the three sections, AM. FM1. FM2. We could then pick a strong signal from a suitable station. On our 2024 CX5, we don't have this feature Activating 'Station List' seems to show ALL the stations it detects in AM and FM and sows the MANY it found in order of frequency and not of signal strength! Is there a way to do what we did before on a much older vehicle!

You can manually add the stations found that you like to your "favorites", or you can manually search for them and add them to your "favorites".
Your owner's manual should show you how to do this or you can find some online videos that will.

Yes thanks, We thought that might be the only way to do it. We liked it on the 6 as we could instantly get the six strongest stations when driving across the country and in some places in the middle of both there might only be a few stations we could pick up, and we would repeat it every few hours.

Yes I have added all "The best FM stations" to my favourites, the only problem I find its that if you travel out of range, it does not auto update. DAB for example is great if you are sitting still, but the moment you leave the area, it doesn't automatically find the signal again, as a result it constantly loses signal!- Although It could just be my car???

Yes, it's a pity they removed this feature!

MZD Connect (the latest infotainment system)

https://www.mazdausa.com/static/manu.../34020300.html

Station List
The radio station list is displayed where you can select the radio station you want to listen to.
The genre of the radio station displayed in the list can be selected and the list can be updated depending on the region and specifications.
(If Option is available and the genre can be selected)
A list can be displayed by narrowing down to genres such as News or Rock M.
(If Option is available and “Update List” can be selected)
The list picks up the 10 stations with the strongest radio waves and they are displayed. When Update List is selected, the Station List can be updated at an arbitrary timing.

(With Radio Data System (RDS)
You can enable/disable the “Traffic Announcement Settings”, “Alternative Frequency Settings”, or “Region Lock Settings”.
