Aftermarket SiriusXM Radio/2024 CX-5
I recently purchased a 2024 CX-5 S Select. The infotainment system did not come with SiriusXM Radio but did come with Apple CarPlay, which is what I am currently using to access SiriusXM. Frankly, selecting SXM channels this way involves a number of entries and is not always fast and easy while on the road.
Since my Mazda dealer’s parts department can’t even seem to find and OEM SXM receiver module in its catalog, I am considering picking up an aftermarket unit that purports to plug into the back of my infotainment unit.

Has anyone tried anything like this? If so, how did the installation go? Was it necessary to run and install a separate antenna cable? Any useful info will be appreciated.

I'm looking to do the same. Let me know how you make out. I see you can buy a shark fin antenna with sat radio connection (https://www.mazdapartsadvantage.com/...AaArpLEALw_wcB). You should be able to buy an antenna cable as well.
