We have the FWD/Auto and 30.3 mpg is a heck of a lot better than the 22 we were getting on a 2006 Murano.

Off to Vegas without a stop for gas!!

36.4 mpg on a 300+ mile trip ranging from 65-75mph and some city driving . I'm so dam impressed by gas mileage! I have a 6 spd so I do take advantage of coasting to stops and being able to short shift. Pretty flat drive from oklahoma city to Wichita then back to Arkansas city.

For some reason we only managed 24MPG over 177 miles last week. Not entirely sure why that was.

But yesterday we took a trip out to Indio (Palm Springs area) and negotiated some winding roads (speed limit 55, but the curves limit you to less than that) on the trip out, then took the freeways back. Hit some stop and go for 20 minutes or so, but we got 33 MPG across those 220 miles.

It looks like, in general, our average is running around 29MPG with the Sport Manual. Still have the long trip out to Vegas next weekend where we'll see some pure freeway travel with (hopefully, anyway) no stop and go.

My low was my first tank at 323 miles, mpg of 25.8 manually calculated. I do commute in very bad traffic 4 days per week. I haven't done a road trip yet. Overall I'm running 26.6 manually calculated.

We're seeing pretty low MPG for the work week. 22.7 over 114 miles was last week's 4 days.

The trip to Vegas and back was better, though extremely bad weather and huge traffic jams didn't help, we did manage 32.2 over 366.2 miles out (with some small amount of driving not related to the highways between here and there, including getting lost between toll roads due to the evils of discreet nav systems recalcing on the fly) and 31.1 over 346.8 miles on the way back (with a trip through Red Rock Canyon), despite the massive stop-and-go stretches along the 15.

No clue when we're going to see some "ideal" conditions for highway MPG, but I suspect it might not be until this fall when we've got plans to head out on a couple of long trips.

Still, it's not a small vehicle, and compared to what the other models in the class can manage, we're not too disappointed. (Though I would like to know what she's doing while driving to work . . .)

(We've put over 1600 miles on it since the 29th of March . . . it is driving great.)

3rd tank was 32.6 (calculated manually). That's a steady blend of highway/city.

Wow i am not even near those number after 4 day's with my new awd auto trans cx5.
Im getting 23mpg for my daily trip to work, about 10 miles city and 50 miles hwy back and forth.
I guess i need to get some new habits of driving and forget the speed3 i had for the last 4 years.
Other than that really happy with the ride and confort, hoping to get better milleage after first oil change and some breacking on the new motor.

Filled up the tank on the CX-5 this morning and checked the trip computer average which was 32.7 MPG. The gas pump clicked off at 11.56 gallons (full tank) and only cost me $45 compared to my 2001 tundra that would have cost me $90 to fill. I went 457 miles with 1/8 tank left so 457 miles/11.56 gallons = 39.53 MPG. The Tundra was getting 17.5 driving the same roads. That's impressive! I did baby the throttle and kept the highway speeds around 70 mph. My trip was about 70% highway with very little stop and go driving. I have an automatic FWD sport. Keep in mind I tried to squeeze as much mileage as I could driving this thing to get that #.

Filled up and did manual calc last Sunday, 25.5 mpg, worst tank so far in heavy traffic mostly.

OK, if all the bickering is over now I will prune this thread and we can get back on-topic.
Thank you.
