Default 39.1 mpg

2014 CX5 Manual Trans.
I drove from Fort Worth, TX to Pierce, Nebraska. (Lambrecht Auction) I was amazed by the mileage i got on my CX5! Best tank was from Salina, KS to Pierce, NE. 39.1 MPG. I had a very strong tail wind the entire way, and I guess it all evened out driving into the wind on the return trip. 30-32 MPG. Driving 75-80+ all the way there and back with the AC on.

It sounds like you averaged approximately 35.05mpg for the entire trip! At 75-80mph, I'd say that's really quite good!!
Were you using an electronic dashboard calculator (trip computer,) or were you figuring it out tank by tank? I don't fully trust trip computers. They are often high, or low depending upon the manufacturer.

I calculated it out tank by tank. I have kept a record of every tank of gas in every vehicle I have ever owned. I am a touch OCD!

I wish i had the same MPG as everyone else seems to have. I drive almost entirely in the city and i calculated my last tank of gas at 20.05 miles per gallon. I bought my CX5 in March and i now have 4,310 miles and according to the dashboard,i get 22.6 MPG. I calculate every fill up by hand also. My best reading was the time i took a short trip to the gulf coast. I averaged 27.2 MPG on the HWY

I get between 24 and 25mpg and I drive entirely in the city. I have about 1200 miles on the car. Once on a highway and city combined tank I got about 28mpg. It is still nowhere near the 35~38mpg that some of the people are getting.

I haven't been out of town yet in my 2014 CX5 and the 500 kms has cost me 10.7 liters of fuel per 100 kms driven. Probably converts to around just under 25 miles to the Canadian gallon @ $5.70 Canadian per Canadian gallon.

The city mpg is correct and the combine mileage too. 2013 CX-5 I received up to 35 mpg if I drive 50-55 mph and it's an automatic. Also, you have to consider driving on mountainous (hilly) terrain and being above sea level that will lower your mpg. Some cars of the same model are affected more than others.
