21 CX 5 CE 2.5 Turbo using/burning oil
Why are you “afraid”? The owner is responsible for checking the oil level regularly as outlined in the Owners Manual, as long as you fulfill your responsibility then the engine will not run low on oil and be damaged. How much oil does your engine use? Many modern engines use more oil than some owners are used to, including some by Toyota, Honda and Ford. As long as the owners are responsible there is no harm done. If you don’t feel that you can regularly check the oil, you could try using a heavier oil, like 10w-30 in place of 0w-20…but this poses its own risks.
FWIW, my 2.5 turbo uses less than a half liter in 7500 kilometers.

I understand, but I know this is a disadvantage. Previous engines did not have that, e.g. from 2019/2020. I am afraid that other components may get damaged / clogged by burning the oil. I have brought my Mazda to Europe and the warranty does not cover me. I would like to know the solution to the problem (so far after 2500 km there is no problem) so that it would not be worse later.
European made vehicles generally call for heavier/thicker oils, like 0W-40. What does Mazda-Europe call for?
Then too, you could try using high mileage oil. Won't hurt anything and may reduce oil use.
HM oil tend to be on the thick end of the scale, 30 would be just shy of 40 for example.
Monitor the oil use/burning. Most all MFGs say, or used to say, a quart in 1 or 2 thousand miles is
acceptable.(to them, anyway).

Unfortunately, 2.5 turbo engines are not generally available in Europe. But in their instructions for the US market, they recommend either a 0w-20 or a 5w-30 oil, as far as I'm not mistaken. Then I'd rather use 5w-30.
In the US, Mazda calls for 0/5W-20 for the NA engine and 5W-30 for the turbo.
In the states, EPA wants good fuel economy numbers so MFGs spec the thinnest oil they
think will work for the average person.
Use what makes you feel good.

Forgetting the concern about mpg, would a heavier weight oil offer better protection (2021 CE Turbo)?

Australia often specs heavier oil for many brands, not sure about Mazda.
Europe MFGs often spec 0W-40 for their better known brands like BMW, MB, Audio, etc...
Even Corvette calls for a thicker oil than most all other GMC engines.
But define "better". For the average Joe, 5W-30 performs well for many miles.
There was a guy in California that put 600,000 miles on a Mazda 6, but I don't know what
oil he used. Likely a lot of highway miles.
Those that TRACK their cars often step up a grade/weight of oil.
Use what makes you comfortable I guess.
Quality oil, and proper maintenance insures a long and reliable service life.

How is your cars oil consumption now? I have same concern with cx5 turbo.
I suggest not worry until there is some indicator with your specific MAZDA that you would then need to quickly go to a MAZDA dealership and have them inspect your Mazda. If anything, to get it on record!
