After passing 3000 miles things seem to have improved greatly - Since there are no dummy lights , its a high compression engine , with a tight AWD system - theres bound to be a break in that occurs - Obviously nothing in the owners manual - dealers say to early for and service bullitens - If it keeps getting better - no issue here - its faster , smoother etc /. however it does upshift very quickly when not in sport mode- I use sport and manual keeping rpms up above 2k and it helped - being in 6th gear going 30 mph with a touchy 13:1 comp ration engine -,low rpm - If they call in for a reflash , I will do it -, You get 2 Mazda surveys - one about the purchase experience and about 30 days later on vehicle performance- fill the second one out - they need to know - I told them -

Take into consideration - I live above 5000 ft - and when at sea level - it acts diffrently as well - time and miles have helped a great deal - much less concerned
