Default 2021 CX5 Minor annoyance

Hard to believe I've had my CX5 GT with the Premium Package a little over two months and took it out at night for the first time this week. I did find one annoying thing -- the rearview mirror has one button that lights up I think for the auto auto dimming function but there's nothing for the home link buttons that raise the garage doors. My other cars with that feature had little indicators for the garage door openers. Is that how it's supposed to be?

So my 2021 GTR has 3 homelink buttons on the bottom of the rear view mirror. Your mirror doesnt?

Oops I didn't word that very well. The only button on the mirror that's illuminated is the one to turn the auto dimming on and off. The homelink buttons for the garage door openers don't light up. Every other homelink setup I've had has always lit up. In the dark you can't see where these ones are and you have to turn on the overhead lamp to find them.

Odd, I’ve had the “same” homelink mirror on three different vehicles and none of them had illuminated buttons. The on/off indicator lights are LEDs, not buttons.

I didn't have Homelink on either of my other Mazdas so I'm not sure about those but I'm positive on our Sonatas the buttons for their bluelink thing as well as the garage door buttons were illuminated.

Being dark is not a big deal but I was surprised when I went to push it and couldn't see the button. When I get more used to the car I'm sure I won't have any trouble.

I agree with this having had Homelink functionality for many years. I do notice that the newer ones, manufactured in the teens, have a bump on the center button to help you tell by feel.
