Just bought a new 2021 CX-5 Signature. I opted for contactless delivery so the first time I saw my car is when it was delivered to my driveway. I took the car for a spin around the neighborhood and noticed a loud tapping sound from the engine that can be heard in the cabin as well. Needless to say the car is back at the dealership being diagnosed. Has anyone else heard about or experienced similar issue?

No issues with tapping sound on our 2021 Signature. Keep us informed of the diagnosis and fix

 

I have the same engine, and noise. It's noisy injectors. The colder it is, the louder it gets. Test it and if the tapping stops when you're off the throttle (above idle), it's the injectors. Normal, nothing to worry about.

 

Just picked up my Signature in January and haven't noticed any tapping sounds. I hope it gets resolved for you.
