That was my plan as well. Somebody made the comment you can't get another card to work once you have paired one, but this makes no sense to me. How would system know you did that? Seems like if you got a new one the updates would reset for another 3yrs.

Bought another card from Nav Kings on eBay and it does the same thing. The cards work on my computer. Let’s me backup, update maps, etc. but when I insert them in the car they don’t work. Just go into the reboot loop. Took the car in to the dealer. They checked it out but could find nothing wrong. They said if I purchase the $399 sd card from them they would guarantee that it will work but not for one purchased from another vendor. Said they don’t know what chip is in the card. Since I use Android Auto it isn’t worth $399 for the Mazda Nav system. I was willing to pay $50-60 for one in case I might be somewhere without cell phone coverage but $399 is pretty steep. I think it is reprehensible of Mazda to sell you a $30,000 automobile that is navigation capable and then hit you up for a $400 sd card to make it functional.
Were you able to return the cards? I would hope they would give some kind of guarantee if they don't work as advertised. I am still waiting to see if my card will update correctly next time as somebody said there was a recent crackdown on pirated cards (they supposedly won't update). We will see. My card works great right now.

That's correct the card will not update because Mazda tool box registers your vin #. When you insert the nav card in your card the vin gets registered on the card. When you try to update the card in Mazda tool box, your vin shows up and it will not allow you to update the card. This is why it's better to try to get a card with the latest navigation update.

I just purchased a nav card from Amazon with the same model # nav card. I inserted it in my Mazda and my car wouldn't recognize it so I returned it back to Amazon for a refund.
