I assume that price is out the door? I paid 35,250 before TTL for my GTR last weekend - the MSRP was $37,645. That included a $750 loyalty rebate I received as well. I will suggest you try carsdirect.com as well. Put in your zip and build out the car you are looking at. It should give you the going rate in your area. Sometimes you can work an even better deal with this info in hand. For example if I run a Carbon Turbo AWD through my zip - it shows an MSRP of 33,335 (not sure if the one you are looking at has other added features, but you can build it out as you like) suggested sales price is $31,407 - so around $1900 off MSRP is where I would start. Supposedly you can buy the car at that price guaranteed through carsdirect.com which will ultimately come from one of your local dealers.

Default Day Running Lights

Hi all, I bought my Carbon Edition 2 months ago. Love it so far. Very few nit picks. I'm wondering if anyone knows if you can turn off the day running lights permanently? The manual shows there's an option to do it but I'm not seeing it anywhere in the settings. I'm wondering if that option is only available in higher end versions. ??

Thank you!

There is a way to do it. There are threads detailing the process either here or the mazda24/7 forum.

I'm curious. Why do you want them off?

AFAIK they cannot be turned off (the conventional way) and are on as default all the time. Unless you go with a software re-programming which I personally would avoid. Just my 2 cents.

That is my understanding as well. On older CX-5 models there was a “way” to do that, but no longer. I ran with my headlights on all the time starting in the 1980s, they really can reduce accidents under certain conditions, and there is no real down side to DRLs that outweighs the safety advantages.

I have been driving with headlights on ever since I started driving in the late 60's ... Daytime Running Lights (DRL) have been mandatory in Canada starting with the 1990 model year of all cars sold here .... it is a safety thing .... just get used to it!
