2019 CX 5 Akera - Which engine do I have?

Just picked up my new CX-5.

I got the turbo engine but I have no idea how to officially tell which engine I've got. It's drives like the turbo but I'm not familiar enough with new engines to tell by looking at it. Is there anyway I can tell from a sticker or something which engine is in my car?

Not sure what you're asking. To the best of my knowledge, Mazda is only producing one turbocharged motor these days, this engine is often referred to as a 2.5t.

Sorry if I didn't make sense. In Australia, there is now the option of the turbo engine in the CX5.

I recently picked up my new CX5, ordered with the turbo engine in it. Hypothetically, if they delivered me the wrong car with let's say the non-turbo engine in it. How would I be able to tell what engine is in my actual car (by just looking at it)? I assume I should be able to determine this from a sticker or deciphering an engine number or something but I can't find anything obvious so I've turned to the experts here.

Just look for a turbocharger, it should be pretty apparent.

I did have a cursory look at the engine, unfortunately I'm not that good with this sort of thing so it's not obvious to me.

So let me get this straight, you bought a brand new CX-5 Turbo and you're second guessing whether or not your car has the right engine? I don't understand.

If the car was bought new, it must have had a manufacturer's statement of some sort on the side window (we call it a Munroney sticker in the US). What does the document say?

I just want to know whether or not there's a way to tell the engine type from a plate or sticker or some other means on the car. That's it, that's all I need an answer to.

The Akera comes with 3 engine options, 2.5 (PY) , 2.5T ( turbo) & 2.2 turbo Diesel (SH)

If in doubt visit the service department at any Mazda dealership & get them to have a look.

or , depending on which state your vehicle is registered search the rego on the transport department website.
