2018 Mazda CX-5 2.5ltr Petrol

Hi team,

I'm new to the forum and am looking at buying the wife a 2018 CX-5 second hand with 175000 ks. What are the sort of issues I can expect or look out for? Have taken for a test drive and everything sounds quiet and can't feel gear change. I'm in NZ and buying from Orix Lease, has always been serviced.
Any advice will be much appreciated.

All Mazda petrol engines are rock solid, the same applies to their automatic gearboxes.

Welcome to the forum. We all hope that you become a regular on this forum and a NEW MAZDA owner.

I whole heartedly agree with BJW response assessment of the MAZDA you are looking at. I own a 2018 Mazda 3 and have had no issues and have up my engine power level and as well have had no ill effect on the quality or reliability of the MAZDA @ getting close to 50k miles in all operating condition and environments.

Thank you BWJ & Callisto, looks like the boss will be getting a CX-5...looks like a great forum with plenty of information.

I'm glad my wife isn't interested in this forum even though the CX5 is her car.
