2016 CX-5 GT LED Front Accent light is flickering
1 Attachment(s)
Just purchased on Wednesday. 2016 GT with Tech package, black on black, 24k mi. Very pretty car.
Among some issues I used to haggle on the price, the GT/tech package has adaptive HIDs with an LED accent light: Attachment 8727 On the passenger side, just fine, bright glow. Driver's side, dim and flickering, all the time. I'm thinking it's a wiring issue and I'm not getting full voltage to the headlight. If it's an easy solution, I'll fix it myself, otherwise, I may take it to Mazda, since the car has a little time left on the bumper-to-bumper warranty. Ultimately, I would like to wire it up, like I've done my BMWs, in the past. Use a relay, when the car is off, they are attached to the dome light (fade in and fade out when the doors are unlocked/locked), when the car is on, full glow. |
Common issue, noted in service bulletins, covered under new car warranty.
The whole headlight assembly requires replacing. What warranty do you get on Mazda's in Florida? |
Thanks, I'm still under the 3 year 36000mi bumper to bumper. I also have a 5 year 60000mi drivetrain and rust. I will check out the service bulletins. Is that on this website?

Service bulletins are Mazda's own system for the dealership.

I want to Mazda today, they are covering it under warranty. Thanks. I'll have the parts Tuesday.
