Greetings Folks, Ed here new in the forum. I just bought a 2015 CX5 GT AWD for my wife, and so far she loves it. I'm interested and looking for the Nav SD Card for this car. I understand that is a Tom Tom system. Any information would be greatly apprciated. Thanks!

You could try to get an aftermarket copy of the navigation SD card on Amazon. I only saw it for the 2016-2020 and 2021-current on the CX-5. You could try to get the one for the 2016-2020 and see if it works on your car, and if not then return it. Otherwise it'll be like $400 for a factory one, which is absurd for an SD card in my opinion...

 

Thanks Alexmed2002. I think that is about the only option so far. I did found the OEM SD Card at $490.00 on a Mazda website and at that price I rather use my Nav out of my cellphone, but yes I'm going to give a shot at one of those 2016-2020 SD's. Now this whole thing brings me to another question, "Why there isn't SD's for previous year CX5?

Unfortunately, portable GPS systems are often much less expensive than updating an SD card.
And frequently much better as well. I can honestly say my older Garmin unit is much better and much easier to use than the Mazda unit.
That said I still use the Mazda unit until such time it will require a new SD card, then I'll probably just use the Garmin.
I rarely need GPS anyway as I've always been a lover of maps and navigation.

 

I'm the same way. I bought the cheap $50 SD card from Amazon just to have that as a backup in case my phone doesn't have service or something. It works perfectly too lmao.
