2015 CX-5 Nav System Won't Loadhttps://www.mazdaforum.com/forum/mazda-cx-5-54/navigat

I'm a Mazda 6 owner, and my dad was looking for an AWD so I recommended the CX-5. He tested it, loved it, and bought one used (one owner, only 20k miles), and the dealer is reputable.

When he got the car home he realized the nav button won't work - at least the nav system won't load anything. It's a 2015 Grand Touring in pristine condition. No evidence of any poor care or ownership. Doing some reading about it (edit: http://mazdanav.com/user_guides/navi...read-me-first/), I saw somewhere where if it's too cold the TomTom system sometimes won't work (which sounds stupid but that's what they said). It has been in the single digits around here, so definitely cold enough I would think.

Any ideas on why it won't work? Doe he need the SD card? Shouldn't that have been provided by the dealer? Or is it really a problem he has to have fixed? He has a very nice warranty, but the dealer is over an hour away, and my dad's retired and not fond of driving that much these days.

Thanks for your help!

EDIT: Mods you can remove the URL in the subject. It got pasted by mistake. Sry. :)

The Tom Tom system requires the SD card to be loaded into the slot on the lower left side of the dash. If the vehicle was advertised as having Navigation, then probably someone removed it, either to keep it from being stolen or to steal it. Contact the dealer. If it wasn't advertised as having Navigation (such as nav capable or some such or nothing), you might have to buy a card.
